    Weekends are the busiest days. We recommend visiting on weekdays for a quieter experience.
  • Can I bring a pet?
     Only guide dogs for the visually impaired are allowed at the Bonnat-Helleu Museum.
  • Can I bring a suitcase?
    The museum’s cloakrooms can accommodate suitcases, backpacks, and other luggage up to 95 x 27 cm. A luggage storage facility is available near Bayonne Train Station, a 10-minute walk from the museum.
  • What about my scooter or folding bike?
    The museum’s cloakrooms cannot accommodate bulky items like scooters or folding bikes.
  • Can I access the museum with a stroller or baby carrier?
    Yes, you can enter the museum with a stroller or baby carrier. A dedicated changing area is available for infants, and nursing spaces allow you to take breaks or read to your child. The Kafé Tinda team can also warm baby food.
  • Are the museum spaces wheelchair accessible?

  • It’s too cold in the rooms — can the heating be turned up?
    The museum’s room temperature is carefully controlled to preserve the artworks. Maintaining a stable temperature between 19–21°C is essential for displaying certain works.
  • How can I book a group visit?

Ticketing

  • Can I change the date of my ticket?
    No, once a time slot has been booked, it cannot be modified.
  • I need to cancel my visit — can I get a refund?
    No, we cannot refund tickets if you need to cancel your visit.
  • What payment methods are accepted on-site?
    At the ticket office, we accept cash, credit cards (Visa or Mastercard), checks, holiday vouchers, and Eusko in cash.

  • Is the shop accessible independently of the museum visit?
     Yes, the shop is freely accessible from the street.
  • Can I order online?

Kafé Tinda

  • Can I eat at the Bonnat-Helleu Museum?
