Eco-design
Aware of the environmental challenges of digital technology, the Bonnat-Helleu Museum has chosen to design its website according to eco-design principles.
To limit the environmental impact of this site, we rely on fundamental principles that we strive to apply and optimize:
- Technology geared towards resource efficiency: custom development is favored, in order to design only the necessary functionalities. The goal is to produce lighter code, requiring fewer resources from the server and your device to display.
- A design focused on the essentials: the design of this site is intended to be clean and uncluttered to facilitate your access to information. A simple and clear user journey means fewer pages to load, resulting in reduced energy consumption.
- Special attention to media: images and videos are often the largest elements on a page. We take care to compress and optimize them to find the right balance between visual quality and file size.
By optimizing digital resources, this eco-designed site consumes less energy, thus contributing to the reduction of CO₂ emissions.
